Subject:Bike lane needed in proposed Broadstone project

Dear Councilmembers,
I strongly support making sure that the proposed Broadstone project be approved with a stipulation to include a multi-
use connector from LOVR to S. Higuera along the creek. I have ridden the existing path around this areal, and it is the
one of the most dangerous segment on my ride.
Widening the substandard lanes at LOVR and Higuera is impractical and unlikely, where cars and trucks wander across
lane markers and, often into the very narrow bike lane there. Trucks, in particular, are too wide for the lanes as currently
configured and always cross over the lane markers.
This is a once in a lifetime to complete a missing segment that would otherwise be a missing link in the overall trail
network “from city to sea”.
Thank you for your support of bicycle and pedestrian safety.
