When a more substantial record would be required, to defend the City should a final decision be appealed to the Superior Court, it is required that the ARB be convened. •Linda Mielke •Alex Karlin •Myles Couch 4 Area Agency on Aging Board The Area Agency on Aging Board is the policy maker and grantor of funds from both the Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act and it sets policy concerning funded programs and the internal operations of the Agency. This is a State designated agency with jurisdiction covering both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. The City Council names one member to the 12-member board. •Teresa Disbennet 5 Architectural Review Commission The Architectural Review Commission plays a vital role in the preservation and enhancement of the beauty and visual character of the City by ensuring that projects are consistent with required ordinances and standards, as well as the Community Design Guidelines, to maintain a high level of architectural excellence in the City. •Kelley Abbas •Robert Arens •Michael Clark •John Carrion •Charles Gerencser •Ashley Mayou •Brian Pineda 6 Construction Board of Appeals The Construction Board of Appeals is called to conduct hearings and provide a second level of administrative review for contested Administrative Citations issued by the Chief Building Official and to serve as the Housing Appeals Board under CA State Health & Safety Code. •Niel Dilworth •Gresh Eckrich •Nick Graves •Amando Garza •Chris Wiedeman •Bob Vessely 7 Citizens’ Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission •Anthony Bozzano •Renne Gardner •Jim Hamari •Kenny McCarthy •Tony Skapinsky The Citizens' Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission was established as part of the passage of a ballot measure approving a general use tax to protect and maintain essential services and facilities, such as open space, traffic congestion relief, flood protection, and senior citizen programs. The commission’s purpose is to provide transparency and maximize city accountability, by reviewing and making budget recommendations directly to the City Council regarding expenditures from essential services funds. 8 •Takuto Doshiro The Citizens' Transportation Advisory Committee serves the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments, SLOCOG, studying and reviewing exiting transportation related issues throughout the County and making recommendations on transportation policies and project implementation. There are fifteen regular voting members, with one appointed by the City Council of San Luis Obispo. Citizens’ Transportation Advisory Committee 9 Cultural Heritage Committee The Cultural Heritage Committee oversees a broad range of educational and technical assistance programs aimed at preserving historical and cultural resources. Zone 9 is an area that encompasses the City and some surrounding areas in the County. The Committee was formed to assist the County Board of Supervisors on policy decisions relating to the area as well as determining the needs, desires, and financial capabilities of property owners in Zone 9 and to recommend programs to alleviate and control flood damage. •Christine Mulholland 21 Council has recessed to the Advisory Body Recognition Reception in the Council Hearing Room The City Council Regular Meeting resumes at 5:30 p.m.
