Dear Mayor Stewart and City Councilmembers, Please program funds in your new budget for the City of SLO to create a rental registry and implement added protections for the 60+% of households in SLO that are renters. I made a list of other cities in California who have a rental registry already. I have also sent a list of what rental registries include (copied from a SF law office's website.) Finally, I found a spreadsheet from Feb. 2024 which contains a list of California cities with a rental registry. It's time we did the right thing for renters in San Luis Obispo, CA.
