Remarks:
E4 arrived on scene and established Madonna IC, stating nothing showing. E4 made contact with RP and made entry into
residence. A small amount of residual smoke was present in rear bedrooms. E4 cancelled response and relayed to dispatch
extended commitment time to investigate source of smoke.
E4 spoke with who stated a spark came from an outlet in the bedroom with a crib. He shut off the breaker to
that bedroom as a precaution. Shortly after that occurred the family heard a noise from back bedroom, with dresser present
and two mattresses, to find a glow from a piece of paper that was on fire. Residents exited the building and called 911.
E-4 found a piece of paper that was extinguished PTA. E4 noted no charring to outlet with crib in it. Room with a dresser had a
burned piece of paper on the ground and smoke marks on the drywall. E-4 ensured all breakers were shut off, which resident
had done PTA and further investigated outlets for heat or fire extension. No heat present on either outlet. The burned
drywall was removed to check for any fire extension, however no burn marks or heat were noted with thermal image camera,
no heat felt in area that was exposed, or outlet itself.
E-4 spoke with resident and property manager, to discuss plan. PGE contacted to send a rep out to inspect
electrical. Resident and property manager were told to not turn on any breakers and needed to contact an electrician
before residence could be reinhabited. Sce...
