In order to be eligible to apply for a state cannabis event permit, the local jurisdiction where the event would be held must allow cannabis events under its laws, and issue a local cannabis event permit. State law allows for cannabis events to be held at county fairs, agricultural events, and other venues authorized by a local jurisdiction. Successful cannabis events are held throughout the state as cannabis trade shows, cannabis gardens at music festivals , art events, and food festivals, and beyond. Megan’s Organic Market is extremely interested in obtaining the requisite permits and hosting a cannabis event in the City of San Luis Obispo, if the City authorizes such events in the future. We look forward to hearing more about the City’s consideration of cannabis events, and working to bring local tourism and tax revenue at a future event.
