Subject:Please Approve and Prioritize Phase 1 of Our Long-Delayed Neighborhood Park

Dear City Council Members,
I’m writing as a resident of the Righetti Ranch neighborhood to express strong support for moving forward with Phase
1 of our neighborhood park project at tonight’s meeting.
This park has been part of the City’s plan from the beginning, and yet more than five years have passed with no visible
progress. In that time, many families in our community have watched their kids grow up without access to the promised
park. Some of those children are now in middle or high school and have never had the chance to enjoy a safe, walkable
park in their own neighborhood.
We understand that funding and planning can be complex, but the extended delays have been deeply frustrating. The
park is no longer a future amenity—it’s a past-due promise that needs to be honored.
Dividing the project into five phases makes sense if it means we can finally see some movement. Please approve Phase
1 and help restore confidence that this long-awaited community space is truly a priority.
