SUBJECT: ITEM 7a – REVIEW THE PROCESS FOR ISSUING NOTICE TO
CORRECT TO PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS FOR UNSAFE
SIDEWALK OR FRONTAGE CONDITIONS, AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO
ISSUE NOTICES TO CORRECT
Staff received the following question regarding Notices to Correct for unsafe sidewalk or
frontage conditions. The questions are below with staff’s response shown in italics:
1) Have any properties completed the required repairs since the City Council
Agenda packet was routed?
At the time of report routing for the 5/20/2025 City Council Meeting agenda packet,
eight properties had unresolved Notices to Correct for unsafe sidewalk or frontage
improvements. Since the report was routed, th e properties at 360 Chorro, 368
Chorro, and 3195 South Higuera have corrected the conditions by replacing the
damaged sections of sidewalk. The frontage improvement conditions for the
following five properties remain unchanged:
