Subject:Proclamation Thank You?
Dear Madam Mayor and City Coucil members,
A heart felt thank you for proclaiming May ALS Awareness Month. It was a great honor to be at the
meeting and accept the proclamation.
With hope and continued research, one day there will be a cure or at the very least a medication to help
with the symptoms of this devastating illness.
May I recommend a wonderful film, currently on Netflix, called "No Ordinary Campaign." It's about a
young lawyer that was with the Obama administration when he was stricken with ALS and his journey
with the disease. It was presented at the 2024 film festival here and very well attended. It's a beautiful
and hopeful journey you take with him and opens one's eyes to this terminal illness.
Again, many thanks for the proclamation in raising awareness.
