Subject:Public Comment for 8/18 Architectural Review on 2932 Augusta St
To whom it may concern,
I am in support of this development. I live in the building next door, and many of the concerns of my
neighbors are in regards to a limited parking situation. While these concerns are valid, I believe it is
important to encourage alternative means of public transportation, such as walking and/or city buses.
Claims as to the perceived 'overcrowding of our street are highly exaggerated, and traffic is almost non-
existent outside of school pickup and dropoff times." San Luis Obispo has a need for more high-density
housing; while the demand for parking will increase, the amount will not cause undue suffering to the
neighborhood.
There is another claim that the new apartment's windows will 'tower' over our windows, but the building
is only three stories -- and is perpendicular to our complex on 2916 Augusta St. (it does not directly face
any windows).
