Subject: WATER CONSERVATION
I believe we have scheduled a review of our water rate increase in
January. This was hopefully to encourage conservation. In a discussion
with Bill Hetland, it hasn't worked.
We now have on board a new Water Conservation Coordinator. I am assuming
that she will be part of our review update.
In order to perhaps be a "step ahead" in January, I would request the
Council ask for options on incentive programs, such as rebates for
decreased usage, etc. Maybe special discounts by user groups, i.e.
commercial for installation of water-conserving replacement devices, etc.
