I am submitting these comments in writing due to being out of town at an internship, but we felt it was important for the Delta Chi Fraternity to be a good community partner. We appreciate the seriousness of the Grand Jury’s report and the attention it brings to town-gown relations. These are real and complex issues, and we agree they warrant thoughtful, balanced solutions. At the same time, it's important to remember that the Grand Jury's report is advisory in nature. It does not constitute a finding of fact, and it will ultimately be up to the Planning Commission, City Council, and staff to determine how best to respond. We want to reaffirm our commitment to being part of the solution. Delta Chi believes in the values of scholarship, service, and leadership, all principles that mirror the community’s expectations for responsible student life. We are committed to ensuring our actions reflect those values. As you consider the Grand Jury’s report, we respectfully ask that you preserve space for fairness, collaboration, and constructive dialogue. Together, we can work toward lasting solutions that unite, rather than divide, the San Luis Obispo community. Thank you, -------------------------------------------------------- Chris Green President Delta Chi Fraternity California Polytechnic State University president.cpdeltachi@gmail.com (714)-307-8933 1
