Dear Advisory Committee,
I am writing to you regarding my concerns with the Gas Works project on Pacific Street. Currently there is not
enough parking on Pacific Street and other streets in that neighborhood. With 49 units proposed and a
potential restaurant and/or a commercial property, please advise on how you plan to resolve this
issue? Currently, my tenant, German Auto is struggling with parking for their customers and employees. I
understand there is an ongoing housing shortage in San Luis Obispo, but we have to think about how this will
all play out in the future. Will there be any traffic studies regarding the dead ending of Walker Street and how
that will affect traffic mainly on Pacific St and other nearby streets?
Also, there is a lot of asphalt in this proposed development. Perhaps there could be a way to add more green
space?
