Dear Planning Commission Members,
I am writing to you regarding item #4A on the October 22, 2025 agenda.
I am in support of the efforts of the City’s Cultural Heritage Committee, the Community Development staff, and
the City of San Luis Obispo, to revise the City’s Historic Preservation Ordinance and Historic Context
Statement, along with updating the Historic Resources Inventory (the current list of Contributing and Master
List properties). I commend the work of the contractor, Page & Turnbull. This work will lead to a better,
stronger program that will enhance and protect historic resources while keeping our city vital and a place of
which we all can be proud.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the City of San Luis Obispo.
