Honorable Council Members:
As long-time residents and owner/operator of business interests dependent on the health and vitality of
downtown SLO, we couldn’t be more excited about SLOMA’s expansion plans.
We know that there are many worthy requests seeking your support. We believe that SLOMA’s request
represents a can’t-miss opportunity. For a relatively small investment, it will pay dividends for years to
come.
You could dole out many smaller grants to a much larger number of credible projects, but we don’t see
any investment that would have the kind of immediate and long-lasting impact that SLOMA’s expansion
would bring to downtown.
We support SLOMA’s request for financial support and urge you to approve it.
