Subject:Support for SLOMA Expansion - A lasting investment in our Community
Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council,
As a long-time San Luis Obispo resident, business leader, and community member, I’m writing in strong support of
the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art’s proposed expansion and the City’s financial participation in making it a
reality.
From my perspective as an employer, I believe it’s essential that our employees feel a sense of belonging in this
community. The expanded SLOMA will help create more inclusive, inspiring places downtown where people can
connect, learn, and feel part of something larger than their workday.
As someone who has lived here for decades, I want more reasons to come downtown — experiences that remind
us why we love this city. The museum’s expansion will do just that: bring people together and re-energize our
downtown core.
As a grandmother, I also see this as an investment in the next generation. I look forward to bringing my
grandchildren to SLOMA, where they can experience art that expands their curiosity and deepens their
appreciation for creativity and community.
And finally, as a member of this community who believes deeply in San Luis Obispo’s future, I see this project as a
catalyzing force — one that will connect people, support local businesses, and reflect our shared values of
culture, education, and belonging for many years to come.

and strengthens our collective future.
