The attached story may be useful and relevant. It describes a little-known provision in California law
known as "Builder's Remedy" that is wreaking a bit of havoc in communities like Beverly Hills. A
developer there was able to push through a 19-story apartment/hotel—several times the height limit of
55 feet.
