Subject:Righetti Park pump track
Hello,
My name is John Little. I am not a resident of the city of San Luis Obispo. I do however own a small
construction business and have a city of San Luis Obispo business license. I have been a resident of San
Luis Obispo County since 1996 and have been a member of Central Coast Concerned Mountain Bikers
since 1997. I have helped build many of the trails in the county and city over the years. I continue to help
maintain the local trail systems. I have seen mountain biking and cycling grow exponentially over the last
couple decades.
I would like to urge you to fund the pump track at Righetti Park. Pump tracks are a great resource for
people of all ages. Kids in particular make great use of pump tracks. They are fantastic for outdoor
recreation, skill building, community building, and overall health. Anything we can do as a community to
promote kids being outside and active I think is a step in the right direction.
