A bicycle skills facility of this nature is an offering currently missing from our city parks, and when paired with the recently completed trails on Righetti Hill this Alternative will make the park an important destination for the biking community. In particular, the Alternative 3 facilities would be beneficial for younger riders who are still learning and need to build their skills and confidence before riding the more challenging trails in the areas surrounding the City. I understand that the city and its residents have many desires for what is included in this park, and that they are faced with the reality of budget constraints. However, the Alternative 1 facilities (pickleball courts) can be found at other local parks, including nearby EA French Park. At a minimum, I ask that they city make a commitment to ensuring that any supplemental funds in the city budget next year be allocated to ensuring the bridge is installed to provide access across the creek as part of this project to ensure that the bike park can be constructed if funding becomes available in the future, or through a community effort. Thank you, Shelly Donohue, San Luis Obispo Resident 1
