Subject:Pickleball courts needed in slo
I am emailing to express my support for building Pickleball courts in the first phase at Righetti Park.
Average morning at French or Meadow Park has 20 people waiting to play at each venue for 12 people
capacity. Weekends are more impacted.
* Lack of courts promotes competition between sports in shared use courts - Lower French and Meadow - not
good
* Parks and Recreation identified Pickleball Courts as one of the SLO highest priorities. Growth in Pickleball
Play continues across the globe and in SLO
* Pickleball provides accessible and healthy recreation that benefits everyone, especially youth and seniors.
