Hello,
My name is Phyllis Smith and I have been a regular San Luis Obispo golfer at Laguna Lake Golf Course since
2016. My husband introduced me to golf then as he has been playing there weekly since the early 2000’s with
a group of City of SLO employees in the beginning and continues to play there into his retirement.
The golf course has been instrumental in my health as due to several foot problems and surgeries over the
years I found playing golf on grass to be most beneficial to allow me to continue to walk and exercise regularly.
LLGC is a gem of a little course and allows me to play several times a week without having to drive a distance
to other courses, it is affordable to young and old alike and all skills can enjoy the the course and it’s location
below the Irish Hills. Often I find myself just marveling at the beauty around me and thinking about how much I
enjoy all that the golf course has to offer. I find it hard to imagine not being able to play golf there and I
sincerely hope that the City of San Luis Obispo continues to see the value it offers to others like me.
