I am writing in strong support of continuing services at the Laguna Lake Municipal Golf
Course. My wife and I are seniors, and we have been playing this course regularly since
the 1990s. For us, and for many others, this course is far more than just a place to golf—it
is how we stay active, connected, and engaged with our community.
Laguna Lake provides an affordable way to exercise and maintain social connections,
especially for those of us on fixed incomes. It is our primary source of physical activity
and an important social outlet. Without it, many seniors would lose a vital part of their
daily lives.
This course is also a tremendous community asset. It serves a wide variety of local
residents, including schools, youth programs, kids’ clinics, and community golf
tournaments. In my personal experience, I have seen three generations of families use and
enjoy this course together. That kind of continuity and community value is rare and
deeply meaningful.
I respectfully ask that you please consider the many people who rely on Laguna Lake
Golf Course on a regular basis. Taking it away would have a significant impact on
seniors, families, and community members who depend on it for affordable recreation,
health, and social connection.
Please do not take this away from us. Thank you for your time and thoughtful
consideration.
