SUSPECT: Skylar Marle Marshall, 23-year-old resldent of San luls Oblspo
VICTIM: Alexander Haglst, 3S.year-old male resident of San luls Oblspo
On .luly 15, 2020, at about 9:10 PM, the San Luis Obispo Police Department responded to
multiple reports of a single gunshot heard and a woman screaming in the 600 block of
Chorro. During the initial investigation, responding officers located a 35-year-old male
victim who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Shortly after officers and SLO Fire
personnel arrived on scene, it was determined the male had succumbed to his injuries and
was pronounced deceased.
San luis Obispo Police Department lnvestigators were called out to the scene and took
over the investigataon. After additionalfollow-up interviews were conducted it was
determined the wife of the decedent was responsible for his death. 23-year-old Skylar
Marie Marshall was arrested for Penal Code 187(a), Murder. Marshallwas booked at the
San Luis Obispo County Jail and being held without bail.
lnvestigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is currently no threat to public
safety,
