Pursuant to Government Code section 7284.6, all law enfarcement agencies(LEAs)are required lo report statistics
on a!I indivitlua:s transferted to immigralion authorities and the oHenses that el!owed for the transfers.A'Vansfer
request'is defined es'an Immigration end Customs Enforcement(ICE) request lhat a bcal law enforeement agency
facilitate the trenster of an indiv dual in its custody to ICE, end ineludes, but is not limited lo, DHS Fortn
I-247X.'(Gov.Code.§7283, subd. (d); see also Gov. Code, §7284.4, subd. (e).)
Government Code section 7283, subdivision (d), tlefines'ICE aecess'to inUude:'(1) Responding to an ICE hotd,
notifcation,or Iransfer request (2)Providing notif:cation to ICE in advance o1 lhe public that an individual is being or
will be released at a cenain date and t:me thraug data sharing or otherwise; and(3)Providing ICE non-publicly
available information regarding release dates, home addresses,or work eddresses,whether lhrough computer
datebases,jail logs, or ofherwise.'If a locel law enforcement agency provides notice to immigretion authorities and
releases en individual into a public area of the jail where immigration autharities have access to detain them, such
action constitutes a lransfer by the LEA and should be reported to Ihe DOJ, as required by Govemmenl Code section
7284.6.
All LEAs will be required to report lhe tollowing infortnation:
1. Date-The date the report:ng form was submitted.
2. Submitting Agency ORI and Name-Provide the ORI end name for your egenty.
3. Check lha box if your agency has no qualiying transfers to report tor lhe slatistiwl year.
4. Number oT Transfere by Offense Codo, 7ypo,and Levol -Indicate the number of trensfers to immigralion
authorities by the oftense code,rype, and level that allowed for the trenster. This is a summary wunt by

suhsequently trensferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Entorcement(ICE)for immigration enforcement
