Emerson Park is a treasured NEIGHBORHOOD PARK. It is central to Old Town's densely populated area. Children can walk to it easily and safely. What a relief! DON'T CUT UP THE FIELD. Keep it an integrated whole. EMERSON PARK is JUST LARGE ENOUGH to allow running fast, kicking hard, and batting harder. IT'S A FIELD OF DREAMS. Keep it kid friendly. Keep it the TREASURED neighborhood park it is. Show OLD TOWN NEIGHBORHOOD that, as guardians of the city's parks and recreational opportunities, YOU RESPECT THE VALUE OF EMERSON PARK AS THE CROWN JEWEL of the neighborhood. KEEP IT WHOLE. Respectfully submitted, Gayle Mills 1
