Subject:Emerson Park/dog park
I have lived in the Emerson neighborhood for 25 years and have walked my dogs thru the park on a leash
almost on a daily basis.
It is a great space for all of the kids and their sports activities. It’s also enjoyed by so many, just sitting
under a tree reading or relaxing. Taking up so much of the turf area with dry, dusty bark chips for a dog
run is not the best use of the space for all of us that enjoy walking thru, relaxing or playing sports. Folks
that want to let their dogs run free for exercise & socialization have a much larger space at Laguna & El
Chorro to use.
All the other upgrades and additions are fantastic, especially the addition of a much needed restroom.
Please reconsider-don’t put a dog park in at Emerson. Thank you
