I more than aware that San Luis Obispo is a hard place to start out living in. I think it is a very bad precedent
to use public recreational areas to help fix the problem. As a non golfer I feel strongly that we need to save
this golf course. Our open spaces is one of the many things that makes SLO amazing. I know it needs money
spent on it to get the clubhouse safe. When it was open it had workers that had barriers to employment(
achievement house workers making food) Both colleges use it for the golf teams. The junior high and high
school uses the golf course too with their teams. It’s Affordable to a lot of people. Golf needs to be for
everyone to have an opportunity to learn. It has golf carts for the disabled. Golfing is not my outdoor passion
but we need to make it available for everyone. I feel like it is the same as loosing a park. I will fight to
preserve ore public property. Down the road are you wanting to sell other parks that our community leaders
fought so hard to make. We need to fight to expand public access for outdoor spaces. Thanks for your time

No park makes money. This golf course is no different than a park. Let’s keep the open spaces available for
future generations
-We can’t lose open spaces for recreation.
-We can’t lose opportunities to get outside and stay active with minimal fees.
-handicap golfers and workers lose opportunities -schools golf teams lose opportunities.
-yearly fun run for kids.
-summer golf camps
-fundraiser tournaments
-special Olympics golf
-Laguna middle school or and golf programs
