Subject:Closure of City golf course
This is not the first time a proposal to close the golf course was presented. Ken Hampian
was City Manager from 2000 to 2009 and along with the City Attorney were active in
seeing all parties regarding the disposition of the golf course were heard. The arguments
put forward to not sell the property are the same ones that apply to the decision to close
the golf course at this time. The value to many citizens who golf is an asset to living in San
Luis Obispo. I believe we have a right to see the budget and to know who has put the idea
for closure open for questioning. What individual or Department produces the Budget?
We have a right to question that entity. When is the Budget scheduled to be approved? I
would expect a response to my concerns.
