To the Commission,
I am unable to attend the February 4th meeting, but I would like to submit a formal request to revisit the
inclusion of a dog park in the Emerson Park plan.
My concern stems from the limited availability of flat green space in downtown San Luis Obispo. This
type of space is critical for various sports and recreational activities enjoyed by both children and adults.
Currently, Emerson field is open for use by both people and dogs. Fencing off an area and replacing the
grass would limit the versatility of the space and, consequently, the recreational opportunities available
to local residents.
I hope you will consider revisiting this matter.
