Subject:Laguna Lake study session
Since this is more of a “people’s” golf course, and it is used to introduce a wide variety
of kids who might never get exposed to this more healthy outdoor addiction, I am
against replacing it with the promise of affordable housing that the city just hasn’t been
able to pull off to scale in the past.
Its location is ideal for relatively easy access for city kids (walk across the road or they
could bicycle to it??????) versus the other nearby county gold courses.
Once the golf course is gone, it is gone forever, and since there are three or four even
larger parcels down by Home Depot there are plenty of locations along LOVR, I would
keep this gem.
I would support the idea to consider other outdoor activities to be integrated on the
larger golf course footprint.
