As a homeowner, parent, and grandparents, I cannot stress enough how important I feel Laguna Lakes Golf Course is to our community. Athletes and beginners from schools and colleges can learn and enjoy the game of golf, practice, and enjoy themselves. The driving range is the only available practice facility in the city proper. Removing this will ruin families chances to enjoy practice time together. It may also force people to practice in other parks, which could harm these properties. My daughter, son-in-law, and I play Laguna Lake, regularly. My granddaughter is just learning to play and wants to join us. And my three year old grandson is excited to learn. If Laguna Lake is repurposed, or worse yet, developed, San Luis Obispo will intentionally ruin a perfect family recreation. I suggest the City consider expanding Laguna Lake Golf Course by improving the driving range, add a trail and exercise equipment, and perhaps a Putt Putt Golf course. The money generated from these will, in the long run benefit the City economy, generate jobs, and reinforce the City’s commitment to its families. Please do not repurpose, develop, or take this important part of our community. William W. Holden Sent from my iPad 1
