Subject:higuera complete streets support
Hi Adam. I won't be able to attend the Feb 17th meeting and wanted to express my support for this
project via email.
I'm a daily bike commuter and live off of Corrida. I routinely bike from Corrida to Margarita via Bridge and
S Higuera to visit my father. Of all the bike routes I ride in town I feel this is the least safe because of the
unprotected turn off Bridge onto S Higuera, the difference in speed between vehicles and bikes on S
Higuera, the rough bike lane surface on S Higuera, and the tricky turn off S. Higuera onto Margarita. The
return route is no better.
I have provided my input on this project at the various input meetings and fully support the project as
proposed. I also fully support the Greenway along Corrida from S Higuera to Broad, connecting through
Meadow Park to King.
The bike infrastructure in SLO has come a long ways in the 20yrs I have lived here. and these
improvements will make it that much better.
