Honorable Mayor and City Council
I am a local real estate broker. I'm writing in opposition to the proposed "Rental Registry" program.
Instead of reiterating my concerns in this email I will refer to the San Luis Obispo Coastal Association of
Realtors prepared letter as well as the correspondence from Mr. Anil Babbar from the California
Apartment Association. I believe the concerns as stated in those two correspondence are on point and
should really be taken into consideration prior to making any further recommendations to staff to
proceed.
I'm grateful that this is a study session and further recommendations back to staff will give all parties
concerned a chance to evaluate those recommendations and make further comments and hopefully we
all come away with a program that is mutually acceptable.
