trash pile inside fence is out of control
(still? again?) You can smell it from the
sidewalk, and the flies, maggots and
rotting food are exacerbated by the heat.
Trash cans are also still out on street

PM:
Visited property and spoke with
residents. I asked them about the
carwash event. One resident stated that
they did not know that having 65 plus
persons on site was a violation of the
CUP. However, he stated that upon
being informed by Code Enforcement
that going over the allowed per CUP limit
of persons on site could result in
revocation of the CUP; the fraternity
dismantled the event and stopped all
activities. No further incident.

PM:
5/27/25 NB - On 5/23/25 I responded to
280 California at the request of Rami
Salem and Timmi Tway to observe and
document a possible car wash
conducted by the fraternity at this
location. I responded at approximately
1:15 PM and observed a car wash
occurring with approximately 50 people
on site. I took four photos and began to
leave. An individual named Eliran who is
a fraternity member came to speak with
me, and we spoke briefly about the
event and the conditions of approval of
the active use permit. After our
conversation Eliran made the decision to
shut down the car wash early so as not
to place the use permit in jeopardy. He
also followed up with an email to Rami
Salem and myself.

leaving trash cans (longer than 24
hours), furniture and appliances both
outside and inside fence (visible from
street).
Feel free to send a notice/violation/fine
to the landlord so it can be passed along
to the tenants.
