REM NUMBER:
COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
FROM: Mayor Ron Dunin PREPARED BY: Diane Gladwell,
City Clerk
SUBJECT: ANNUAL LEAGUE CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS
CAO RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, authorize voting delegate to support the resolutions as proposed unless Council
provides alternate direction.
BACKGROUND:
Each year we receive a number of proposed resolutions from the League of California
Cities. Please review these resolutions with an eye toward consistency with the City's
presently adopted policies and what is generally viewed to be in. the long-term the best
interest of California Cities and the City of San Luis Obispo.
At its meeting of Tuesday, August 18, 1992, the Council appointed Mayor Dunin as voting I
delegate and City Administrative Officer John Dunn as alternate. These resolutions may
be further modified by the voting membership itself before being voted upon at the General
Business Session on October 13, 1992. Therefore, the voting delegate needs to be granted
some flexibility to deal with the newly worded resolutions.
