Subject:Rental Housing
I live in wonderful predominantly family owned neighborhood, which is dotted with a few rental properties. Even
some of these properties have the owner on site and a portion of the property is rented out. It is easy to spot
the homes that are not owner occupied as in most areas of our community. There is a lack of buy in or pride
unfortunately and it impacts us that do own property. Without an inventory mechanism, I don’t know how to
demand accountability to landlords to maintain property for their tenants? It feels as if they’re trying to
circumvent that accountability by not having to be held to account and I encourage this issue not to be
forgotten by the council as it’s been brought up in the past unfortunately and then let go for years.
