Home My WebLink About2/3/2026 Item 5g, Brigham Sue Brigham < To:E-mail Council Website Subject:City Trees Dear City Council members and Mayor, Please, I beg of you to make every effort to preserve any and all trees within our beautiful communities of San Luis Obispo County. They are important to our ecosystem in so many ways as well as aesthetically appealing. Too many trees have been lost in the pursuit of progress often because the time has not been taken to accommodate them I feel. I’m not necessarily in agreement as to some of the choices that were made in our downtown San Luis Obispo tree lined streets. Many of them, especially around Copeland‘s old building, drop a lot of debris which is not cleaned up timely some of them even have what appear to be almost marbles that drop that are safety hazard for those walking. But I digress as the primary goal of this piece is to emphasize the securing of existing trees and respectfully building around them. Thanks, Sue Brigham SLO Sent from my iPhone 1
