Dear ATC,
I am writing regarding agenda item 5a, Update on SRTS Subcommittee and Recommendations for Next Steps.
Thank you for creating a SRTS subcommittee to expedite availability and use of safe routes for our children to
get to school.
I am excited to see this agenda item with the subcommittee’s proposed work plan that includes progress to
date as well as future committee work:
“The Subcommittee has identified the following tasks that would further SRTS goals and are feasible
with little to no support from City staff.”
Related to this, staff states support of “research work and other efforts \[by SRTS subcommittee\] that
require minimal staff resources”.
I encourage the ATC to approve a motion to endorse this work plan with direction for continued
subcommittee efforts on “Potential Immediate Subcommittee Work” as identified in SRTS Work Plan.
