Subject:DEI High Impact Grant
Dear SLO City Council,
Womenade SLO is grateful that our collaborative grant has been recommended for full funding by SLO
City’s Human Relations Commission. Connecting with families at the school level ensures resources
and support can be shared in an environment where caring teachers and counselors can access support
in a meaningful and speedy manner. In a recent month, Womenade SLO received five referrals from San
Luis Coastal Unified School District professionals requesting bikes, eye glasses, a bed and bedding, and
DMV registration. Addressing these needs contributes to student success and encourages partnerships
between family members and staff.
Womenade SLO urges the SLO City Council to give final approval to this DEI High Impact Grant.
