Contact Information First Name Bodhi Last Name Silberling Agency 2. Please provide detailed, specific information (date, time, event, location, incident number). Record Description I am requesting access to historical fire and emergency incident response records from the San Luis Obispo Fire Department for research purposes as part of the UC Berkeley Hacking for Defense program. While I understand that records are often retrieved by specific incident, I am seeking records in aggregate form if available, including any datasets, exports, or logs that track incident response activity over time. Specifically, I am interested in: • Incident reports and incident narratives • Dispatch logs or Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) data, including timestamps (call received, dispatch, arrival, and incident resolution) • Resource allocation information (units dispatched, personnel, apparatus) • Incident classification/type (e.g., structure fire, wildfire, EMS, hazmat, mutual aid) • Any after-action reports (AARs), internal summaries, or reviews of significant incidents • Any internal datasets or systems used to track incident response activity I am primarily interested in records from January 1, 2018 to present, or the broadest available range if more convenient. 1 If aggregate datasets are not available, I would appreciate guidance on requesting a representative subset of incidents (for example, fire-related incidents or major incidents within a given time period). If possible, I would prefer records in electronic or machine-readable format (e.g., CSV, Excel) for structured data, and PDF or text format for reports. I am happy to refine or narrow this request in any way that would make it easier to fulfill.
