Subject:April 7 Public Comment - Broad Street Corridor
Dear Mayor Stewart and Council Members,
All of us who live on the Broad Street Corridor know that you are aware of the daily issues we have on
traveling Broad Street.
And while we also very much appreciate the budgeting of funds that you allocated to Broad Street, the project
has not moved forward. We are aware of the staffing issues, the grant process and all the other hurdles we are
facing, but during this delay, as you are aware of, we have lost a life and have radically changed someone
else's life.
Broad Street is the last major Street in the City to have changes made to. It is also a five lane City "highway". It
is important that it gets "fixed".
Knowing that the grant process is still facing hurdles, the Broad Street residents would be grateful for any
"quick fixes" that could address our concerns.
