MEMORANDUM
May 18, 2005
To: Ledcor Construction Inc Earl I - 3 519j
From: Robert Livick, P.E:'Supervising Civil Engineer (phone 805-781-7194)
Subject: Encroachment Permit #4789
Due to traffic safety concerns, left turn access from Garcia Drive on to Los Osos Valley Road
shall be restored with temporary pavement and the worm restricting left turn access not be
completed until completion of the frontage road accessing the traffic signal at Froom Ranch
Way. (See section 3-1.03A of City's Standard Specifications for revocation/modification of
encroachment permits)
It was the understanding of the Public Works Staff that access from Garcia onto Los Osos Valley
Road would not be restricted until the frontage road was extended and the vehicles exiting the
Garcia Drive neighborhood.
You may be able to pour concrete for a portion of the "worm" without restricting left turn from
Garcia Drive onto Los Osos Valley Road. If you choose to proceed with the partial construction
of the worm please provide a modified traffic control plan for our review and approval prior to
placing any concrete.
