Correct the cited violation(s) by the "Reinspection Date" listed below to avoid further enforcement action including, but
not limited to, chargeable re-inspection and/or Administrative Citation. You may request a review of the cited violations by
the Department Director [Fire Chief ] within 5 days of report issuance if noted violations do not create an immediate danger
to health and safety (SLO M.C. 1.24.090).

Inspection Notes:Note: Follow-up (second) inspection was conducted by SLOFD on 12/22/2025 in conjunction with City
permit No(s) BLDG-0312-2025 & BLDG--1099-2025.
This inspection was conducted with Daniel Leon (project manager), Bruce Sandborn (business owner)
and City Building Department staff.
Note: Manual pull station(s) and associated fire alarm wiring were found removed during inspection.
Pull station location(s) were found capped with a cover plate at the junction box.
Business management is directed to coordinate repair or replacement of fire alarm equipment. This
item is required to be completed by a CA licensed fire alarm (C-7 or C-10) contractor and is required
prior to occupancy of theatre No.7. (CFC 901.4.1).
Upon completion of work the contractor of record is required to submit an updated fire alarm
inspection report to The Compliance Engine website.
Note: Fire sprinkler heads were found painted and or partially obstructed inside the new hallway
corridor outside theatre No. 7.
Business management is directed to coordinate replacement of painted fire sprinkler heads with a
CA licensed fire protection (C-16) contractor.
Note: New exit configuration completed for theatre No.7. Existing exit has been removed from
service and covered with wallboard.
Hallway corridor between theatre No. 6-7 will require additional wallboard installation to maintain
the required fire rating for the corridor (CFC 701.6).

This item will require additional field inspection by the City Building Department prior to requesting
a final inspection for permit No(s) BLDG-0312-2025 & BLDG--1099-2025.
Note: Electrical wiring was found exposed inside theatre No. 7 during inspection. Business
management is directed to remove electrical wiring or install a listed cover plate (CFC 603.2).
This item is required to be completed prior to occupancy of theatre No.7.
Note: Bathroom door was found removed and installed on theatre No.7. Door did not close properly
during inspection.
Business management is directed to repair (or replace) exit door and restore to an operable
condition prior to requesting a final inspection for City permit No(s) BLDG-0312-2025 & BLDG--1099-
2025.
Note: Emergency exit lighting did not function properly inside theatre No. 7 during inspection.
Business management is directed to coordinate repair or replacement of this appliance.
The following items were evaluated and will require additional corrective action prior to occupancy
of theatre No.7:
1) Repair / replace manual pull stations for fire alarm system. See comments noted above.
2)Replace painted fire sprinklers inside the hallway corridor. See comments noted above.
The following items were evaluated and will require additional corrective action prior to requesting a
final inspection for issued building permits:
3) Repair the fire rated wall in the hallway corridor. See comments noted above.
4) Repair or cap exposed electrical wiring inside theatre No. 7. See comments noted above.
5) Repair / replace exit door for theatre No. 7. See comments noted above.
6) Repair emergency exit lighting inside theatre No. 7 and post occupant load signage.
Note: A follow-up inspection for items No.1-2 & No. 4 will be completed in approximately 21 business
days. Failure to correct these two items will result in the issuance of a third inspection fee of $233.81
for this property.

Extension cords shall not be a
substitute for permanent wiring and
shall be listed and labeled in
accordance with UL 817. Extension
cords shall not be affixed to
structures, extended through walls,
ceilings or floors, or under doors or
floor coverings, nor shall such cords be
subject to environmental damage or
physical impact. Extension cords shall
be used only with portable appliances.
Extension cords marked for indoor use
shall not be used outdoors.
Wine cooler in concession area
observed plugged into extension
cord. Plug appliance directly into
permanent outlet. Send
documentation to inspector by end of
day. Discontinue use of temporary
wiring in place of permanent wiring.

Fire protection and life safety systems
shall be installed, repaired, operated
and maintained in accordance with this
code and the California Building Code.
Auditorium 7 undergoing
renovations. Observed ceiling tiles
removed at screen end of auditorium.
Ceiling tiles supported pendant
sprinklers. Concrete ceiling observed
above t-bar. Replace ceiling tiles or
submit permit application through
the SLO City Building Department to
revise sprinkler protection in this
auditorium.

701.6 Owner’s responsibility.
The owner shall maintain an inventory
of all required fire-resistance-rated
construction, construction installed to
resist the passage of smoke and the
construction included in Sections 703
through 707 and Sections 602.4.1 and
602.4.2 of the California Building
Code. Such construction shall be
visually inspected by the owner
annually and properly repaired,
restored or replaced where damaged,
altered, breached or penetrated.
Records of inspections and repairs
shall be maintained. Where concealed,
such elements shall not be required to
be visually inspected by the owner
unless the concealed space is
accessible by the removal or
movement of a panel, access door,
ceiling tile or similar movable entry to
the space.
