Subject:Sydney St Speed Bump
Hello,
I am reaching out regarding the topic to be discussed on the meeting date May 5, 2026 Item number 7.b.
Sydney Street, between Johnson and Augusta, is downhill, and cars speed down the hill all the day long!
It is super unsafe, especially because it is the route all the elementary school children walk, lots of times
not supervised by parents!
My wife and I live at 1411 Sydney St, and have a front row view of the cars flying down the hill.
A speed bump would definitely slow cars down, and increase awareness of their speed, which they may
not realize how fast they truly are going.
In the winter, when the sun sets earlier, the sun is directly in the eyes of the drivers, and that’s right when
the kids are walking home from sports.
We are in favor of the speed bump and ask that you vote in support.
