1. CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order
on April 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 990 Palm
Street, San Luis Obispo, by Chair Blair.

3.a CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - MARCH 4, 2026, PARKS AND
RECREATION MINUTES

To approve the Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes of March 4,
2026. CARRIED 4:0:0:2
4. BUSINESS ITEMS
4.a RECEIVE PRESENTATION FROM CPRS AWARD FOR SEPTEMBER
SCRAMBLE PROGRAM (CPRS REPRESENTATIVE – 10 MIN)
4.b RECEIVE PRESENTATION FROM PARKS AND RECREATION
AQUATIC DIVISION ON CURRENT AND UPCOMING PROGRAMS AT
SLO SWIM CENTER (STAFF – 60 MIN)
• In addition, the SLO Swim Center solar project plan taking place
this summer was presented as an informational item.
4.c PRC SUB-COMMITTEE LEVEL OF SERVICE (LOS) AMENITIES
DISCUSSION ON THE BLUEPRINT FOR THE FUTURE (PRC – 20 MIN)

The Commission provided additional updates:
• Summer meeting schedule was discussed. Commissioner Lance is
not available for the scheduled August 5, 2026 meeting.
5.b SUBCOMMITTEE LIAISON REPORTS (CHAIR - 15 MIN)
A Mother's Day event is planned at the Jack House, and the house tours
have restarted. No other subcommittee updates were provided.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the Parks
and Recreation Commission is scheduled for May 6, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambers at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
