Subject:Support for Vision Zero
Dear Council Members,
I was heartened to see the consideration of the Vision Zero Action Plan and wanted to write in support of
measures to make our streets safer. As the parent of an elementary school child at Bishop Peak
Elementary it's been discouraging to see traffic fatalities on the rise the last half dozen years or so. I
strongly urge the council to adopt and support these ideas to enhance safety of our motorists,
pedestrians and cyclists.
Let's not wait for more fatalities and serious injuries to occur. It's better to be proactive with our street
design and avoid them in the first place. Best regards,
