Notice Sign was posted on 5/11/26 - which is NOT 10 days before the hearing. They have been taped/tagged for about 4 months which was quite confusing. While I am OK with cutting down these trees which are highly flammable extensive MITIGATION needs to occur: 1. About 6-8 other trees were removed without a permit from the front yard in July 2025. You can see the shoots coming up from several of these tree stumps now. Thus the front yard will be very bare once these trees are gone. 2. MITIGATION for removing these trees needs to include planting trees in the back yard where 95% of the trees have been removed (without a permit), including oak trees with trunks over 10” in diameter. This has created a barren, wasteland which now houses a dozen very large reptile terrariums. See photos. Before all these trees were cut down and the topography changed the back yard had been tastefully landscaped by a mater gardener and decades-old mature trees were established. Trees need to be planted in the back as well as the front to mitigate for the 1 enormous loss of all the trees. Patricia Kohlen neighbor 2 3
