SLO City Active Transportation Committee May 20.
I would highly recommend that the committee keep the existing bridge on the Bob Jones Trail at South
Higuera and Prado Road in place. It is actively used and is a key component to the flow of bicycle and
pedestrian traffic on the current trail and very necessary for future connections. Removing this bridge
would be a colossal waste of money. I would also highly recommend that a Class 1 path be a part of any
future considerations for Prado Road, the intersection of Elks Lane and the proposed overcrossing of
Highway 101. This would allow connections to the existing multi-use pathways in the San Luis Ranch
development.
