Subject:Vision Zero Action Plan
Hello,
I am writing in regards to the Vision Zero Action Plan. I believe one of the most important parts of any city
is how walkable and bikeable it is, and consequently how safe these activities are. Beyond deep in
downtown, SLO is often plagued by tiny bikelines on major roads, where it is easy for cars to either not
see bikers or to be moving at high speeds. This creates danger and fear in those who wish to navigate the
area by bike, a decision that is beneficial to both the health of the individual and our local and global
environment. I hope SLO will pass this plan to the benefit of the entire city.
Another side note I would like to include is the state of Santa Rosa Park. I understand the difficulty of the
situation, but what could be a beautiful place for residents and children is constantly overrun by people
sleeping and setting up residence on the lawns, leaving trash behind when they go.
Sincerely,
Joey Kittinger
