Dear Council Members,
I live on Funston between Broad and Lawton ave. This is already a documented high injury area and there
have been deaths nearby, especially crossing Broad.
I am consistently floored by the speed at which drivers zip between Lawton ave and Funston, trying to cut
off traffic from South and Broad st. There have been multiple close calls with my children just simply
crossing the corner to get to Woodbridge park.
I beg you to consider prioritizing traffic calming measures in this area; it feels like it's only a matter of
time before one of the many families with young children in our neighborhood are severely injured.
I appreciate the council's consideration in prioritizing this issue.
