Good afternoon,
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I am requesting records related to claims, lawsuits, and settlements
involving the Police Department from January 1, 2019 to present.
This request is limited to matters involving alleged officer misconduct during public interactions, including:
Use of force
Unlawful search and seizure
Civil rights violations
In-custody incidents or transport-related use of force
For each matter, I request records sufficient to show:
Allegation type
Disposition (e.g., settled, dismissed)
Settlement or judgment amount
This request does not seek personally identifying information, personnel records, or materials that are exempt from
disclosure. It also excludes employment disputes and routine incidents unless they involve alleged misconduct.
Please provide responsive records in electronic format where available.
If any portion of this request is unclear or overly broad, I am available to work with your office to reasonably narrow the
scope.
